Fall Fest 2025 FAQ

Here are some answers to some of the Frequently asked Questions we have received. If you have a question you think we should add to this FAQ, please feel free to reach out to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Question: Is there any cost to attend Fall Fest?
Answer: No! There is absolutely no cost to attend Fall Fest. You can attend the event and participate in post of the activities and games with absolutely no cost to you. We do ask that if you are planning to attend, or bring along a friend, that you “purchase” a free “Canuck for a Day” SWAG package that includes your game cards for the various activities and games, so we know how many participants to expect and can pack SWAG packs accordingly.

Question: Your SWAG prices seem higher than other events in the USA. Why?
Answer: All of our camping, SWAG and package sales are in Canadian dollars, and are inclusive of all taxes and fees. As of January 6, 2025, the current exchange rate is $1.00 USD = $1.46 CAD. This means that the $125 CAD campsite would cost approximately $69 USD. Our SWAG packages are actually priced much lower than most US Mega and Giga events, once you consider the exchange rate. The exchange rate changes daily, but we will update approximate US pricing in the store once per month. Your bank or credit card may charge additional fees or offer a slightly different exchange rate that what my bank does, which is why we are suggesting approximate US pricing. Your mileage may differ.

Question: Your SWAG packages are still too expensive for me. Can I purchase specific items by themselves and just get what I want?
Answer: Yes, selected items, such as our coins, pathtags and pathtags sets, and t-shirts, are sold separately in the event store. Just click on the “Event Add Ons” Category to see all of the options for sale.

Question: Can my dog come to the event?
Answer: Of course! Social, friendly dogs are welcome on the event grounds, and even in all of the event buildings. We ask that you keep your dog on a short (2m/6’) leash and make sure you pick up after your dog. Please don’t let them be destructive or ruin someone else’s enjoyment of the event.

Question: How do I book a Campsite on the event grounds?
Answer: Campsites will go on sale in our square store (https://geocacheon-fall-fest.square.site/) under the camping tab at 7:00pm on January 22, 2025. Campsites will remain available on the Square store until 11:59pm on September 1st, 2025 OR they are sold out (whichever happens first). All sites are reserved through the Square store and must be paid at the time of reservation.

Question: I just found out I can’t come to the event. Can I get my money back?
Answer Part 1: Camping reservations are non-refundable.  You are welcome to offer the site to another camper and/or sell it at your discretion if you are unable to attend.
Answer Part 2: We do not mail out swag packages until after the event, and will only do so at your cost.  You can have a friend pick up your order if they have a copy of your receipt and your registration name with them.  Otherwise, all unclaimed packages and SWAG as of 4pm on Saturday will be gathered up and you will be sent an invoice for the cost of shipping it to your primary address. Invoices that are unpaid within 7 days will be contacted to make other arrangements for pickup of their items.

Question: How big are the fairgrounds?
Answer: The fairgrounds are approximately 22 acres, and are approximately 400m long and about 250m wide. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk from one end of the fairgrounds to the other.

Question: Do I have to get a free registration package ahead of time, or can I just show up on the day of the event?
Answer: No, but it's super helpful to us.  It takes only a few minutes and really does provide us a lot of value, because it gives us an accurate number of how many packages we should prepare.  If you add people to your registration, it helps us ensure we have enough stuff for everyone attending.

Question: Should I buy my SWAG now, or at the store on site?
Answer: We strongly suggest buying your items ahead of time through our Square store.  Early bird pricing ends February 1st (that means our store prices increase Feb 1, 2025) and may be adjusted again as we get closer to the event depending on the exchange rate, as certain items (such as Pathtags and neck wallets) are coming from US vendors. Buying now will save you money (usually 10-15%) and (more importantly) guarantees that the items you want will be there.  We will not be ordering a lot of additional swag. Some items, such as the GeocacheON Supporter Pack, will NOT be available in the event store.  If you order will call items, remember to pick them up before 4pm on Saturday.

Question: Is alcohol permitted on the fairgrounds?
Answer:
Open alcohol is only permitted on your campsite. Open alcohol is not permitted in any public area of the event.

Question: How do I know which SWAG package to pick from? There are too many options!
Answer: Check out this handy-dandy info-graphic, that shows you what comes in each registration level.
